This adventure trip will see you traveling from the Ngorongoro Crater, a collapsed volcano with walls 2,000ft high and a 102sq mile floor before trekking your way to the highest point in Africa - Mount. Kilimanjaro (via Machame route), Safari and finally leisurely relaxing on the white sandy beaches of the spicy Zanzibar Island.
Tour Itinerary
Day 1 Arrival in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
Day 2 -Machame Gate to Machame Camp
After breakfast, head to Machame Gate for the start of your Kilimanjaro climb via the Machame Route. Trek through lush rainforest before reaching Machame Camp (2,835m). This is a great introduction to the mountain's stunning terrain. Overnight at Machame Camp.
Day 3 - Machame Camp to Shira Camp
Climb out of the forest and into the moorland zone, with breathtaking views of Mount Meru in the distance. Today's destination is Shira Camp (3,750m), located on the Shira Plateau, one of the three craters of Kilimanjaro. Overnight at Shira Camp.
Day 4 - Shira Camp to Lava Tower to Barranco Camp
A long, challenging day awaits as you trek from Shira Camp to Lava Tower (4,600m) before descending to Barranco Camp (3,900m). This acclimatization hike helps prepare your body for higher altitudes. The dramatic Barranco Valley provides spectacular scenery. Overnight at Barranco Camp.
Day 5 -Barranco Camp to Karanga Valley to Barafu Camp
Begin the day by scaling the Great Barranco Wall, a thrilling part of the trek. Continue to Karanga Valley, then ascend to Barafu Camp (4,600m), your base camp for the summit push. Prepare for the final ascent to the top of Africa. Overnight at Barafu Camp.
Day 6 - Barafu Camp to Uhuru Peak to Mweka Camp
Day 7 -Mweka Camp to Moshi Town
Day 8 -Tarangire National Park Game Drive
After breakfast, embark on a thrilling safari to Tarangire National Park, known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
