James and his team took our group of 4 up Mt. Meru, summiting on Christmas morning with perfectly clear weather and staggering views of Kilimanjaro. We were impressed with the professionalism and experience of Vilima guides: the night before, James met us and reviewed each of our gear from head to toe, discussing his concerns ("if you don't have ankle boots or gaiters you will struggle on the descent") and emphasizing his approach for the summit night. Always safety first. Even so, the trek was great fun with James, France, Jeremiah and the others: lots of laughing, unbelievable quality (and quantity!) of food from the chef, and little touches like hot water for washing up. I had asthma on Day 1 so decided to remain in Miriakimba. Before leaving, James left the funny and entertaining Jeremiah with me to take care of me, and he arranged for the national Park ranger to take me on a hike into the floor of the crater. It was such a nice experience I almost didn't mind missing the summit! Thanks to Vilima for an amazing trek. Hire them: you'll be well prepared and well supported.

There aren’t even words to describe this experience. It wasn’t just the mountain but the people we were with. James and the crew were everything. They were always happy, always encouraging and never let us think about failing. You can tell this wasn’t just people working together but a brotherhood. There was always laughter from the campsite even during work periods. Whether they were teaching us cards or cheering on a soccer game there was this sense of unity that resonated through the team. The food was unbelievably delicious and I can’t even figure out how they kept making new dishes the whole week and kept getting better! On summit day I wouldn’t have made it without James and Jeremiah. They were dancing and singing the whole way up encouraging me every step and because of them I was able to achieve it. 20/10 would recommend over and over again. My wife and I were already planning to come back for MERU with the team only an hour after leaving the mountain!

I did Kilimajaro with my wife and we both were surprised on how well everything was organised with Vilima. We are thankful to our guide James who taught us how you should ascend a mountain “pole pole” style. Thanks to him and the crew we could make it all the way to the summit! And believe me, you need to have the right company around you since is an extreme experience and the team is there to help you all the time. Thanks Vilima for everything! We love you guys !

It was an experience of a lifetime and it was possible thanks to this amazing team. I felt completely taken care of and what's more - I felt safe the whole way. Getting to the top was possible thanks to the support of the agency. I could only focus on the climb and the rest was taken care of by the agency.

Our trip with Vilima to Kilimanjaro (Machame route, 7 days) couldn’t have been better executed. They planned for it so well - starting from lists and equipment checks to incredible food variety (even for a vegetarian- it was totally 5-star). We got 3-course breakfast every day, fresh fruit and veg daily - how is this possible in camp conditions? They went an extra mile serving us hot drinks in tents as soon as we woke up. I know it sounds unexpected for a trekking trip, but coffee in bed is always a great idea. The trip was very safe. The guide ran a health check every evening measuring oxygen levels and heart rates, monitoring any altitude sickness symptoms. We made it to Kilimanjaro peak well, and most of it is due to team collaboration and the prep. Our guide James did an excellent job, and Vilima team was irreplaceable. We joined a group, and it felt like a private experience at the level of service. By the end of our 7-day trip we felt like a family. Definitely recommend!

Our 4-day safari tour with Vilima-Adventure Tours was an absolute highlight at our holiday in Tansania! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and the animal wildlife was absolutely fascinating. Our tour guides Michael and Simon were just great and they have a good knowledge of the wildlife of the national parks of Tarangire, Serengeti and the Ngorongoro conservatin area. They have managed to bring us closer to the beauty and peculiarities of each park and showed us the best spots for wildlife observation. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to experience incredible moments with elephants, lions, giraffes and many many other animals - especially we were able to see the „big five“! The accommodations and food during the tour were also perfect and well thought out. We were always well taken care of and were able to relax in comfortable lodges and camps after exciting days. We can highly recommend Vilima-Adventure Tours to anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable safari. A big thank to Michael and Simon for this wonderful experience.
